In The City Magazine

In The City Magazine can be picked up whether you are at work, staying in a hotel, shopping at the supermarket, or even when you get home. It is freely available across Greater Birmingham and the Midlands.

The design challenge was to create a vibrant look that would increase the circulation of the magazine and to encourage enquiries for more advertisements and features.

Wellington’s 20th Anniversary Literary Festival Poster

Working with Wellington Town Council, Emerge created a poster to advertise the October 2016 Wellington Literary Festival.

Eddie “The Eagle Edwards” will be launching this years programme where the town will celebrating Culture, Arts and Literature throughout the month.

‘LEAP’ project logo design

ABB and Alexander Proudfoot are working together to develop a resource planning tool. The collaborative project is called ‘LEAP’ and the strapline is ‘Resource Effectiveness’.

Leap stands for:
L = leadership
E = excellence
A = and
P = productivity

Emerge worked alongside both companies to design a new logo for Alexander Proudfoot, which enabled the ABB logo to maintain its own identity.

Email campaigns for The Co-operative

Supporting the Mid-Counties Co-operative marketing department, Emerge produced several graphical HTML emails advertising ‘The Big CO-OP Clean’ event and promoting a TV advert for the ‘International Day of Co-operatives’.

The graphical email needed to be responsive, working across desktop, tablet and mobile device email browsers.

Branding concept and prospectus ideas

Emerge was invited to tender for a branding concept and prospectus designs to support the proposed merger of Shrewsbury Sixth Form College and SCAT into the Shrewsbury Colleges Group.

Whilst there was a need for each institution to retain their individual logos, our pitch was based on a combined ‘group’ brand unified by typography. The proposed ‘S’ symbol could be used with a mixture of student, academic or vocational images, to represent both the Shrewsbury Colleges and the theme ‘Educating Shropshire’. Further use of the two strong key colours also identifies each college, without having different brands/styles for each institution. Both prospectus layouts would use the same flexible grid to suit the different types of content from each college.
